Welcome to Bmboo Lighting. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website as well as the purchase of products by customers in the United Kingdom and Australia. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
1. Definitions
- Return Window: The period within which a customer may request a return, as detailed in our Return & Refund Policy.
- Customer / Consumer: Any individual purchasing products from Bmboo Lighting for personal, non-commercial use.
- Business Day: Monday through Friday, excluding public holidays in the United Kingdom and Australia.
- Distance Contract: A contract for the purchase of goods concluded entirely through remote means, without the simultaneous physical presence of both parties.
- Right of Return: The customer's right to return a product within the applicable return window as described in our Return & Refund Policy.
- We / Us / Our: Bmboo Lighting, operated by Witteveen E-commerce LLC, the business offering products through this website.

3. Scope
These Terms apply to all orders, offers, and contracts between Bmboo Lighting and customers in the United Kingdom and Australia. Any terms or conditions proposed by the customer that differ from these Terms will not be recognized unless expressly agreed to by us in writing.
4. Products & Descriptions
Our product listings are made in good faith and to the best of our knowledge. Bmboo Lighting offers bamboo ceiling and pendant lights for residential and commercial use.
Minor variations in color, finish, or appearance may occur due to screen display settings, lighting, or production tolerances. Such variations do not constitute a defect provided they do not affect the normal use and enjoyment of the product.
5. Formation of Contract
A binding contract is formed when you place an order and receive an order confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including in cases of obvious pricing errors, product unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity.
6. Right of Return
Customers have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return, in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy. You may exercise this right without providing a reason, subject to the conditions set out in that policy.
Certain items are excluded from the right of return — including custom or personalised items. Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for full details.
7. Customer Obligations During the Return Period
During the return window, customers are expected to handle products with reasonable care. Products may only be inspected to the extent necessary to assess their nature, characteristics, and function — as would be permitted in a physical store. Any loss of value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary may be deducted from the refund amount.
8. Pricing & Payment
Prices on our website are displayed in GBP (£) for UK customers and AUD ($) for Australian customers. The price applicable is that shown at the time of order confirmation. Orders already confirmed are not affected by subsequent price changes.

9. Shipping & Delivery
We ship to the United Kingdom and Australia. Orders are processed within 1–2 business days and delivered within an estimated 5–8 business days from the date of dispatch. The order cut-off time is 4:00 PM (GMT/BST, UTC+0/+1), Monday through Friday. Shipping is free on all orders.

10. Product Warranty & Legal Guarantee
We do not offer a separate commercial warranty on our bamboo ceiling and pendant lights. However, under applicable consumer protection law, customers are entitled to products that conform to their description and are free from material defects at the time of delivery.
If you receive an item that is defective or not as described, please contact us at info@bmboo-lighting.com. We will offer a repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
UK customers are protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Australian customers are protected by the statutory consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010, which cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
11. Ongoing Contracts
Where any ongoing service or subscription arrangement is established, either party may terminate it in accordance with applicable law and the terms agreed at the time of sign-up.
12. Complaints & Dispute Resolution
For any complaints or concerns, please contact us first at info@bmboo-lighting.com. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 2 business days during operating hours.
If your complaint cannot be resolved directly with us:
- UK customers: You may contact the Citizens Advice consumer helpline at www.citizensadvice.org.uk or refer your complaint to an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body.
- Australian customers: You may contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) at www.accc.gov.au, or your relevant state or territory Office of Fair Trading / Consumer Affairs body.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, and product photography — is the property of Bmboo Lighting / Witteveen E-commerce LLC or its licensed content providers, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bmboo Lighting / Witteveen E-commerce LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for the product in question. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Australian Consumer Law.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States. For UK customers, the mandatory protections of UK consumer law apply regardless of this governing law clause. For Australian customers, the mandatory protections of the Australian Consumer Law apply regardless of this governing law clause. Any disputes not resolved through our complaints process will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in accordance with applicable law.
16. Privacy & Data Protection
The protection of your personal data is important to us. We process data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 (for UK customers), and the Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (for Australian customers).
